1980S
The Van House
Neil Smith Sr. begins working at the Van House In Waterford, NJ doing conversion vans for local dealerships.
1990S
Sirchie Vehicle Division
Upon the Van House closing, Neil Sr. begins working at Sirchie in Medford, NJ. Bringing conversion van experience to the specialty police vehicle world.
1995-2018
Sirchie Vehicle Division
Neil Smith Jr. begins working at Sirchie right out of high school until the vehicle division closes in 2018. Here Neil meets members of our team including our VP and lead designer, Jon Scott.

DVS is registered as a business. The name coming from an idea from Neil Sr. had in 2010 about starting a conversion company that would cater to anyone needing a custom conversion.
August 2018
DVS lands its first order for a SWAT van for a department in north jersey.
Followed quickly by two more, and service/upgrade work all over New Jersey.
Today
DVS is operated as a small business with seven former employees of the old Sirchie vehicle division, as well as some new team members. We pride ourselves on being one of the only builders in the northeast which can handle a wide variety of conversion types. We love a challenge and have always had a willingness to try things out of our comfort zone.
